Quick steps

Step 1
Browse your ePlatform, then borrow an Audiobook you like.

Step 2
Begin listening or open the Audiobook from your Loans page.

Step 3
Use the player controls to pause, rewind, skip ahead, or change the listening speed.

Remember: ePlatform will remember your place, so you can come back later and continue listening.

Tips & Tricks for Listening to Audiobooks

Audiobooks Play Pause Play and Pause

Use the play and pause button to start or stop the narration. This is useful when you need to take a break or replay a section.

Audiobooks Playback Speed Playback Speed

Use playback speed to listen faster or slower. Slowing the narration down can help if you need more time to follow the story, while speeding it up can help if you prefer a quicker pace.

Audiobooks Forward Forward 10 seconds

Skip ahead by 10 seconds.

Some Audiobooks may include extra files from the publisher, such as PDFs, diagrams, maps, or reference materials. These can help you follow along while listening.

Common problems

I can't borrow an Audiobook

If you can't borrow an Audiobook, there are a few possible reasons:

  • There are no more copies available for your school. You can reserve the Audiobook for when it becomes available.
  • You've reached your Audiobook limit. You'll need to return a book or wait for one to expire before you can borrow another book.
  • The book is restricted. Your school decides what books are accessible to you based on year level or age. If you think you should have access to the book, talk to your teacher.
 

I can't find an Audiobook

If you can't find an Audiobook, there are a few possible reasons:

  • Your filters are hiding it. To check: Go to the Browse page and check what filters you have applied.
  • Your school doesn't have it. Talk to a teacher about how you can suggest new books.
  • The book isn't available for your type of account. Your school decides what type of account you have, and what books you can get with it.
 

I can't download or play the Audiobook

If an Audiobook won't download or play, try one or more of the steps below:

  • Make sure you have an internet connection.
  • If you are using the ePlatform App, check that the Audiobook has finished downloading before listening offline.
  • If you are using a web browser, refresh the page and try playing the Audiobook again.
  • Close the app or browser completely, then reopen it.
  • Restart your device.
