18. Creating Safe and Rewarding Online Experiences
A proactive approach to guiding children's internet usage goes beyond simply restricting access; it empowers children to make positive, informed choices in their online activities. When adults establish clear expectations and foster open conversations about what is appropriate and safe, young users are much more likely to use technology responsibly. Encouraging constructive digital habits—like seeking permission before accessing new sites, reporting uncomfortable experiences, and practicing courtesy online—helps ensure that the internet remains a positive force in their lives.
